Description: Students will learn more about the various genres of the Old Testament writings.  Attention will be given to the Christology of the Old Testament and the application of the books in the life of the believer.

Description of MTI

Samford’s Ministry Training Institute is a non-degree program that equips ministers and lay leaders for service in God’s Kingdom through quality biblical, theological and practical ministry education.  We offer an array of educational opportunities including a variety of online certificates and extension courses administered all over the southeast. The Ministry Training Institute also provides workshops and seminars throughout the year in a number of ministry related fields. Each course, seminar or workshop is biblically based and administered with the highest quality and integrity. Whether online, in a classroom or through a workshop, highly qualified and experienced instructors lead each educational opportunity.

Program Overview

The Diploma in Biblical Studies, Advanced Diploma in Biblical Studies and the Biblical Studies Diploma of Distinction are offered through our extension network. Students will earn the Diploma in Biblical Studies after the successful completion of 8 courses. The Advanced Diploma is awarded after the successful completion of 16 courses. The Diploma of Distinction is awarded after the successful completion of 24 courses.

These diplomas are only attainable by participating in the extension network and Samford’s Ministry Training Institute does not allow courses to transfer in from other entities or from one of the other MTI certificate programs.

Each course is 8 weeks in duration and consists of a minimum of 24 instructional hours. Tuition for each course is $50. The course may be audited for $50.
