As an established church we are grateful for the years God has allowed our church to be a part of this beautiful city, and we are excited about our future. As the city is reemerging around us we are privileged to see the growing number of young couples and families in our church. Yet, the growth we most desire is the spiritual growth, as each of us; children, young adults and senior adults become more and more devoted followers of Jesus.

OUR CHURCH HISTORY

First Baptist Church of Pensacola was founded in 1847, by believers from Alabama, who thought northwest Florida needed viable Biblical churches. We value this history, and all those who laid the foundation to help us reach our local community with the gospel and Biblical teaching. We invite you to visit our history department to learn more about our rich past.

Since it was founded, First Baptist Church of Pensacola has been driven by a strong desire to share the gospel with others. This desire extends to our friends, colleagues, neighbors, wider community, city and around the world. We are involved in multiple endeavors to connect with people of all generations and walks of life both locally and globally.
