• Backpack Buddies - In an attempt to insure that disadvantagaed elementary school children do not go hungry over the weekend, we send them home each Friday with kid-friendly meals and snacks in “backpacks”. • Good News Club – The Good News Club is a way to teach God’s love to another generation at Weis Elementary School. The Good News Club is part Sunday School, part vacation bible school, and part Awana, and meets at Weis Elementary every Monday from 2:00 to 3:30 If you are interested in being a part of this ministry, please contact Kyle Shell at 733-9026 (H) or 572-7659(c).
• DivorceCare - Dedicated and experienced leaders minister to divorced men and women weekly. For more information contact Tiffany Woodward at 477-7473.
• Eighties Ladies - For more than 20 years this ministry has focused on the ladies of our church who are eighty years old or older. The main event is a luncheon in their honor each spring. If you would like more information please contact Mary Kaye Bell at 444-9009.
• First Friends – A ministry for the children and their families at our partner school, Weis Elementary. The goal is to make relationships that show them the love of Christ. Special events are planned and held at the school throughout the school year. For more information contact Lori Kizziah at 969-9649.
• Love on Wheels - Many of our senior ladies have appointments with their doctors, dentists or other commitments and need someone to drive them. That’s where love is expressed and wheels put to it. Our volunteers provide transportation to those unable to drive themselves. If you are interested, please call Charlie Faye Wilson at 434-6427
• Moms in Touch - Groups of two or more moms (or grandmothers) meet for one hour a week to pray for their children and school. Moms experience how to replace anxiety and fear with peace and joy by praying specifically and scripturally for their kids. Contact Susan Hill at 932-0882.
• Personal Touch - A ministry that provides a meal on the day of a funeral for families in the church who have lost an immediate family member. This ministry is divided into five rotating teams of volunteers. The volunteers prepare side dishes and the church provides the meat. • Sewing for Jesus - On the third Monday of each month a group of dedicated women join together to make clothes for the children of Haiti. They also make witnessing dolls to be sent all over the world with mission teams. • Support Partners - Our group of Breast Cancer survivors has continued to grow the last two years and includes ladies newly diagnosed and those who are survivors by many years. Our support group has become a network to reach out, share experiences and support each other. Best of all it has led to many new friendships and prayer partners. • WHIM – Women’s Hands in Missions – is a day for women to help with special projects in the community and in our church. WHIM Saturdays take place twice a year, spring and fall. For more information contact Debbie Minton at 968-4349.
• Women’s Welcome Ministry - Women’s Welcome Ministry began in January 2008. Our goal is to present each new member a gift bag containing items which will help them become aware of different opportunities on our church campus.
