2014 Winter Bible Studies for Women

 

Wonderstruck by Margaret Feinberg will be led by Linda Lasher (434-2077). This seven-week study meets on Tuesday nights, starting January 7 , in R-101 from 6:30-8:00 p.m. Individual sessions explore what God’s Word has to say about His presence, rest, prayer, divine expectation, friendship and forgiveness.

The Parent Adventure by Rodney and Selma Wilson will be led by Courtney Lurton (525-2251). This eight week study meets on Wednesday mornings, starting January 15 from 9:15-10:30 a.m. in room E-214. This study will suggest practical ways we can build our children’s faith through the day-to-day stuff of life. Childcare will be available by reservation at 433-0063.

Hebrews, The Nearness of King Jesus by Lisa Harper will be led by Amy Floyd (932-2540). This study meets Wednesday nights for seven weeks starting January 15 in room E-310, from 6:00-7:00 p.m. Jesus is our accessible King. He is not a faraway God, but an up-close Redeemer who draws near to us. Hebrews helps women make the connection between God the Father and God the Son and reminds us that Jesus is supreme, but He is also compassionate, empathetic and loving.

A study on the books of 1 and 2 Corinthians, led by Mary Lou Lurton (432-4200). This study meets Wednesday nights for eight weeks starting January 8 in the children’s prayer room (E-158), from 6:15-7:15 p.m. This chapter by chapter study will not have a workbook, just bring your Bible.

The Law of Love: Lessons from the Pages of Deuteronomy by Beth Moore will be led by Beth Gowing (384-2402). This study meets on Thursday mornings starting January 9 through February 13, in R-101, from 9:15-11:30 a.m. Childcare available by reservation at 433-0063.

Wonderstruck by Margaret Feinberg will be led by Elizabeth Turnage (324-3564) and Marcia Greene (356-9829). This seven-week study will meet on Thursday mornings starting January 9, in room E-214, from 9:15-11:00 a.m. This study will be an awakening to the nearness of God. Childcare available by reservation at 433-0063.

Books will be available at the first session of each study.
