Women’s Bible Studies

2017 WINTER  Bible Studies for Women

The Gospel of Mark by Lisa Harper and led by Keri Medlock (293-8824) and Stephanie White (293-3236). This study meets on Wednesday mornings starting January 18 until March 15, in E-214 from 9:30-11:00. God’s heart is moved by your cries for help, your shouts for joy, your unspoken worries. We know Him to be a God of unparalleled power and authority, but Mark’s account of Jesus paints Him as a deeply personal and intimate God too. In the Gospel of Mark: The Jesus We’re Aching For, follow Jesus through His days of early ministry all the way to the cross. It’s there we discover what it means to be the recipients of His excessive compassion and the very reason for His all-consuming passion.
Uninvited by Lysa TerKeurst will begin on March 29 through May 3, in the same room and at the same time. Childcare available by reservation at 433-0063. In Uninvited, Lysa TerKeurst digs deep into God’s Word to help you identify the roots of rejection, overcome the damage past hurts can inflict on your relationships today, and fully grasp what it looks like to live loved. With biblical depth, gut-honest vulnerability, and refreshing wit, Lysa will take you on a visual journey in the Holy Land to experience Scripture like you never have before.  Uninvited is the beautiful reminder you need to believe you are destined for a love that can never be diminished, tarnished, shaken, or taken- a love that does not reject or uninvite. With Jesus, you are always invited in.

The Gospel of Mark by Lisa Harper and led by Amy Floyd (932-2540). This study meets on Wednesday nights beginning January 25 until March 8 in room E-308, from 6:00-7:00.

The Gospels and Acts led by Dawn Jongko (207-1540). This study meets on Wednesday nights beginning January 25 for twelve weeks , in room E-214 from 6:00-7:00. There is not a workbook for this study so it’s flexible to come whenever you can.

Entrusted: A Study of 2 Timothy by Beth Moore and led by Lauralyn Lonquist (207-8077) and Leigh Sanders. This study meets Thursday mornings beginning January 26 for 6 weeks in the ROC (R-101), from 9:30-11:30. Childcare available by reservation at 433-0063. We were never meant to take this journey of faith alone or in secret. God has entrusted us with the great and mighty gift of the gospel, something too precious and life-giving to keep to ourselves. In this 6-session Bible study, Beth will encourage you to guard what God has entrusted to you, further His kingdom by sharing Christ with others, and pour into future generations just as Paul once mentored Timothy.

The Gospel of Mark by Lisa Harper and led by Jeanna Lankford (207-4733). This study meets on Sunday nights starting February 12 for six weeks in room E-214 from 5:00-6:30 p.m.

Books will be available at each study.

*Lisa Harper will be the guest speaker/teacher at the FBCP 2017 Women’s Conference February 3-4, 2017.
