The children’s ministry of First Baptist Church provides an environment of love and praise which lays the Biblical foundation necessary for children to choose Jesus as their Savior and Lord. The Life and Work curriculum is designed to help children learn about their relationship with God, Jesus, the church, their families and God’s world. Seeing children accept Jesus as their Lord and Savior is the greatest joy and reward that God gives to us as parents and teachers.
Children in grades first-fifth memorize scripture weekly which reinforces the Bible teaching in Sunday School. The small groups provide hands-on activities in learning the Bible truths for the day. At large group time, the Bible story time provides God’s word to the children in a way they can apply it to their daily lives. The large group time is also a time of worship for the children as they sing, pray and adore God!
The children’s ministry provides many opportunities for children to continue their spiritual growth. Wednesday night activities include music and missions. Discipleship classes are offered to facilitate the importance of commitment as a Christian. Summers are filled with Vacation Bible School, camps, and other fun days.

Sunday Ministries
Sunday school for preschoolers and children is a Bible teaching time that helps the children learn about their relationships with God, Jesus, the church, their families, others and God’s world. Sunday school works with the families of children to build the Biblical teachings into their daily lives. As children accept Jesus as their Lord and Savior, they are discipled through a “new members class” to help them begin their Christian journey. Call Jean Ingram at 850.433.0063 for more information.
Extended Teaching Care is the time the preschoolers are taught while the parents are in worship services. The material offers activities and the Bible story that will continue during the Sunday school time.
Parent-child dedications are an opportunity for parents to dedicate their children as well as their selves in humility and thanksgiving to God. Children are dedicated in both services.
TeamKID is new for kids on Wednesday nights!
TeamKID is a fun, high-energy ministry that encourages kids to know Jesus Christ and grow in a relationship with Him. All parts of TeamKID— Bible Stories, Scripture Memory, Life Applica-tion, Missions, and Recre-ation— connect to teach life lessons to kids.
The KID stands for Kids in Discipleship. Discipling kids is the goal of TeamKID.
Team Kid meetings have six parts, with each one flowing into the next to keep the pace moving with energy.
WARM-UP– The open-ing activity that begins as soon as the first child arrives.
WORKOUT– Includes energized, interactive Bible Study as children hear and experience a
Bible Story, learn the meaning of a Bible verse, apply Bible truths to their lives, sing, and pray.
REACH OUT– Is a missions emphasis time with a short missions movie, mission activities, or a missions action pro-ject.
STRETCHING– Is working on learning the memory verse.
TOURNAMENT - Is a time to run, play, and laugh with fun games and activities that rein-force the Bible Study and meeting time.
COOL DOWN– Is the final few minutes to have a snack and wrap up.
WHAT TO BRING: Bring a friend and your Bible. There are no fees. Each child will receive a book to keep at church.
